Your dog is very welcome
Here you can enjoy a holiday together with your dog, with a large off-lead area right next door and the beach only 2 kilometres away.
Dogs at the holiday park
At the holiday park your dog must be kept on a lead at all times or stay behind a fencing net. Walking dogs on the park is not permitted. Should your dog have an accident on the park anyway, free dog waste bags are available at several points.
Dogs on the pitches
In 2026 a maximum of 1 dog or cat per pitch applies on fields Abbestede, D to H, X, S, T and V. On all other fields the maximum is 2 dogs per pitch.
Dogs in the accommodation
Dogs are very welcome in the Stuga Lodges, the Cottage tents, the Safari Lodges and the CampingHut Plus.
Dogs off the lead in Luttickduin
Next to our park, on the eastern edge of Callantsoog, lie two historic areas: the Kooibosch and the Luttickduin. The Kooibosch is closed all year to preserve its peace and quiet, but in the Luttickduin dogs may run free all year round. The off-lead area consists of a large, open heathland with adjoining birch and pine woodland. On the holiday park itself your dog must be kept on a lead at all times or stay behind a fencing net.
Dogs on the beach
Dogs are welcome on the beach at Callantsoog, and long beach walks together are of course great fun. Between 1 October and 1 April dogs may run free on the beach. After 1 April dogs must be on a lead during the day and may only run free between 19.00 and 09.00.
There are 4 stretches of beach where dogs may run free all year round:
between beach post 8.100 and beach post 9.400;
between beach post 10.500 and 11.100;
between beach post 14.500 and 17.100;
between beach post 18.400 and 20.000.
You will find a map with all the off-lead areas on the beach in the municipality of Schagen here.
Should you unexpectedly need a vet, the nearest one is Dierenartspraktijk Schagen .
