Off to the beach
The North Sea beach at Callantsoog is just a 10-minute cycle from De Nollen along a cycling and walking path that runs straight through the Luttickduin nature area and the Kooibosch. The broad sandy beach is kilometres long and on average 100 metres wide, so there is plenty of room to enjoy a relaxed day by the sea.
The beach at Callantsoog has flown the Blue Flag for many years, a European Union award for a clean and safe beach. Looking for a bite or a drink right on the North Holland coast? There are no fewer than five beach pavilions.
Just behind the beach, separated by a high, narrow row of dunes, lies the village of Callantsoog. It is one of the oldest and prettiest seaside resorts in the country, with a charming centre full of small shops, terraces and restaurants. Most shops and restaurants are open all year round, including Sundays.
Unlike many other seaside resorts, Callantsoog allows you to bring your dog to the beach all year round. From 1 April to 30 September dogs must be kept on a lead between 09.00 and 19.00.
There is space for naturists too: just south of the Kiefteglop beach entrance lies the oldest official nudist beach in the Netherlands.
Bulb season: 'Bloeiend Zijpe'
The famous colourful flower fields in our region are usually in bloom in April and May. During that period there are many ways to enjoy them, including an annual walking event over several distances straight through the bulb fields, a trail run and a cycling tour.

Het Zwanenwater nature reserve
South of Callantsoog lies the Het Zwanenwater nature reserve, an impressive area of dune lakes and a paradise for birds. It is wonderful for walking and for finding complete calm. A must for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
Het Zwanenwater is open from 1 April to 1 August from 7.00 to 21.00, and from 1 August to 1 April from sunrise to sunset. You may only walk on the marked routes, which prevents damage to vulnerable plant species.

Kooibosch & Luttickduin nature area
As the name suggests, the Kooibosch was once a duck decoy, and the decoy pool is still there in the wood. It was formed by a dyke breach around 1600, after which a coppice wood was planted around it. Green woodpeckers breed here, as do birds of prey such as buzzard, goshawk and sparrowhawk. Bats live here too.
North of the Kooibosch, right beside our park, lies the Luttickduin or Luttjenollen. Just as on the beach today, a little heap of sand gathers in the shelter behind every small object. Sometimes that bump grew into a small dune: a 'nol'. The influence of the sea and levelling for agriculture made many nollen along the inner dune edge disappear, which makes the Luttickduin all the more special. The nollen are covered with grey hair-grass, heather and trees.
Please note: the unpaved paths are for walking and dogs may run free there. The cycle path lies slightly further away and is surfaced with asphalt.

'De Goudvis' amusement park
For a day of guaranteed fun with the kids, head to 'De Goudvis' amusement park. It has no fewer than 3 indoor play paradises offering 2,200 m² of play, which makes it an ideal outing when the weather is poor. There is also a large traditional Dutch outdoor playground of more than 3.5 hectares, where children can swing, climb, jump and much more to their heart's content. Several places to eat and drink, including a welcoming restaurant, take care of refreshments.

Land van Fluwel
Land van Fluwel in Sint Maartenszee is a unique hands-on adventure wood for young and old. During your visit you discover the true story of the tulip, from its origins in the wild to modern tulip growing. There is plenty here to fill a whole day for all ages, including a play paradise, a barefoot path, a climbing course and a little beach. There is also a pleasant terrace where you can enjoy a bite and a drink.

Hoenderdaell wildlife park
Rescued lions, brown bears from Bulgaria, lively ring-tailed lemurs, brightly coloured lories and bounding wallabies. Dierenpark Hoenderdaell introduces visitors to all kinds of animals, some of which roam freely through the park.
What makes Hoenderdaell special is that the animals and their welfare come first. The park recreates their natural habitat as closely as possible. The enclosures lie in a beautiful, expansive nature area in Anna Paulowna. Hoenderdaell also regularly takes in animals in need and aims to return them to the wild, so there are always different animals to admire.

De Nollen sponsors the tennis club in Callantsoog, T.C. ’t Oghe.
Community involvement is a priority for De Nollen, especially at local level. The campsite has long supported various community causes, projects and organisations in De Noordkop. Working with T.C. ’t Oghe also fits the active character of De Nollen as a true family park with an extensive activity programme.
The annual sponsorship therefore mainly benefits the young members of T.C. ’t Oghe. The club is proud that the share of young people in its membership is well above the national average, because the future belongs to them. The club runs an active youth policy with low rates for tennis lessons and membership, and the sponsorship from De Nollen helps it continue that policy for many years to come.
